What They Say About Us

Online Counselling

One of the ways through which mental health professionals now connect with their clients is through online counselling. Using a computer and internet-aided technologies, trained counsellors are now conducting either audio/video sessions with their clients.

Also known as cybertherapy, e-therapy, or web counselling, people can choose to connect with their therapist either through real-time chat sessions, telephonic sessions, or video conferencing.

Advantages of Online Counselling

  • You can talk in the comfort of your home
  • Online counseling sessions are more anonymous as compared to face-to-face sessions.
  • There are a plethora of therapists that work online. You have options to search through qualification, specialization, experience, location, language, gender, their reviews to even their view and way of moving ahead in counseling sessions.
  • You have the flexibility to choose your timings so there are fewer chances for you to miss out on therapy follow-ups.

Free Online Counselling

We at Mindworks Counselling, offer free online counselling and therapy sessions. These sessions are for people who cannot afford to see psychologists. We understand that not everyone has the means to pay for professional help. However, because our psychologists have limited time, the free sessions are also limited.

If you need in-person or more frequent sessions, don’t worry! We have paid sessions available for you. These sessions give you the opportunity to have longer and more regular support.

To apply for the free sessions, all you need to do is fill out a form here. We will consider your financial background, family history, and other important information to determine if you qualify for the free sessions.

Our goal is to make mental health support accessible to everyone. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to get the help they need. So, if you or someone you know could benefit from counselling or therapy, don’t hesitate to reach out. Remember, we are here to support you on your journey to better mental well-being.

How much does Online Counselling cost?

The general fee that the therapists charge is based on their qualifications and work experience. Although many platforms now resort to giving a few free sessions, a trained therapist will always charge for the services he/she provides. The range of online sessions might lie somewhere between INR 800 to INR 2000, with some platforms having fixed charges for therapy sessions while others have variables, depending on the therapists on board.

What are the best Counseling Services available?

There are a lot of services out there that give a list of hundreds of psychologists to choose from but not all psychologists are qualified or certified. Mindworks Counselling Services has a rigorous process to onboard a professional and therefore has very limited psychologists. We make sure the qualifications, training and experience each therapist has is competent enough and will add value to the client’s life. Mindworks connects you with only certified experienced professionals.

Online Counselling - Frequently Asked Questions

People come to therapy to seek help for varied areas of their life that are tangled and they seem to have no answers to them. When you are under distress, you may not be able to think rationally and make decisions that are in your best interest.

The drive for psychotherapy is as exclusive and diverse as those who seek it, but most people come to find the support they haven’t found in other areas of their life. Some may enter therapy to address major life changes, such as divorce, and others may seek help in managing mental health conditions, like depression. There’s a common misconception that people who go to therapy are “crazy,” when in fact, most therapy clients are ordinary people struggling with common, everyday issues.

Therapy might come in the form of support, information, guidance, self-knowledge, and/or the space to learn and practice new tools. The type of therapy you require depends on the challenges you are facing.
Different challenges and issues addressed during therapy include:

  • When you feel overwhelmed and prolonged sense of sadness and helplessness about the future as well as present

  • Emotional difficulties that make every day functioning difficult.

  • For example, they are unable to sleep or concentrate on work, assignments, and performance suffers.

  • When actions are harmful to themselves or others.

  • Worried by emotional difficulties facing family members or close friends.

  • You just need someone with whom to talk.

  • Seek guidance on how to perform better and be highly productive

  • Overthinking and rumination about future

  • Problems in communicating at the workplace, social or personal life.

  • Grief or loss of loved ones

  • Confidence and assertiveness training

  • Relationship conflicts and management

  • Addiction (alcohol, drugs, sex, food, work)

  • Substance Abuse

  • Low self-esteem

  • Stress & Anger Management

15-minute sessions are distress counselling sessions with the aim to provide Emotional First Aid when in distress with quick tips and providing a treatment plan for those looking for a trial to how therapy sessions will help them.
50-minute therapy sessions are custom made treatment plans by understanding the patient’s issues and creating a treatment plan based on individuals therapy goals.

In a therapy session,  an individual and a professional works closely on mutually decided goals. A trained therapist assists you to understand your feelings and assist you in changing your behaviours and thought processes that aren’t helpful for you.

Yes, counselling sessions are confidential. An exception would be if you were to pose a danger to yourself or others, in which case the relevant parties would be notified. In the case of a minor, initial consent from a parent/guardian is necessary.

Based on your initial session, a treatment plan is drawn on mutually discussed goals. Therapy plan is different from person to person and as unique as their problem.  Therapy sessions can last from a few sessions to a few months, based on the goals and symptoms. However, as therapists, our goal is to enable you to deal with your issues eventually independently.
